Safeguarding
How we keep your child safe in lessons, and what to do if something worries you.
Updated 5 October 2026
Safe lessons
Every lesson is recorded
Every online lesson with a child is visibly recorded. No recording, no lesson.
Tutors are checked first
Before we mark a tutor Verified, they pass an Enhanced DBS check with the Children’s Barred List, or the Scottish or Northern Irish equivalent we accept, and a person checks their identity.
Contact stays on tutors.gg
Tutors must never ask a student for personal contact details, or arrange contact, payment or lessons outside tutors.gg.
A person decides
A named person, not AI, makes every safeguarding decision. If there’s a credible risk, we can stop a lesson, hold a message or suspend access straight away.
- Lesson recordings
- Deleted after 90 days
- Who can watch one
- A few trusted people, and only for a good reason
- Safeguarding records
- Kept until the student is at least 25

Say what worried you
In your own words. A short note is enough.
Leave out the evidence
Don’t send detailed evidence unless we ask for it securely.
Tell us how to reach you
